Luckily even is she elected she won’t have any right to make decision on any of this anyway. Weightless.

She is extremely unpopular in ireland don’t worry 🤣

    3. I find it weird that the US is running an influence campaign to get Europeans to join their imperial club at the same time as threatening the sovereignty of one of its states (Denmark), aiding and abetting a genocide, demanding 5% of European GDP be spent on overpriced American weapons and throwing Ukraine under the bus.

And yet STILL people are like “yeah, these are both reliable partners and the good guys”

Makes me wonder wtf these people are smoking. It’s the same shit Belarussians are smoking, I think.

Is there any serious suggestion by anyone we’ll be joining NATO?

We’re mulling over scrapping the triple-lock, which is the opposite of joining the big powers.

Also, we’re already in a mutual defence treaty with the rest of the EU.
We’re failing in our duty to others in that respect, because we provide them with no safety guarantee of any sort, in practice.

Surely we can find some middle ground where we specialise in something relatively non-combat oriented?
Good radar, good policing of our national waters, producing of non-lethal military and humanitarian supplies, and good cybersecurity systems? All of those are pretty much in our interest anyway, and we can do those as an incremental step before needing to worry about boots on the ground. Or joining NATO.

Can we elect someone who’s actually going to be alive in 25 years?

Ireland is just too small a country to have a modern military that could be in nato. Also if you get nato protection for free why bother.

    7. She is oblivious to European Security and the threat from Russia to Ireland. A very naive and silly person.

She is a looper. But they always exist. But I am just disappointed Labour and other left parties are backing her. How can you support a Russian stooge when our country has taken in so many fleeing Ukraine?

Funny she mentions the articles of the constitution that refer to the role of the president.

Does she also support the sections of the constitution that refer to a woman’s role in the home, and that state that families are founded in marriage and not other durable relationships?

Her intervention had a significant role in the public’s decision to keep those flawed articles in our constitution forever.

Meh she gets my vote. I’m sick of all the big block nonsense that’s clearly angling for future wars. We have a tiny population who live off livestock farming and being a tax haven with service industry tacked on. Literally no power would be arsed invading us except maybe Britain in a situation where their food imports become unstable in one of the wars they get themselves in. Neutrality is my main focus point and she seems the bet of the usual shit options

There’s a world of difference between “We need to join NATO” (Which no one serious actually supports) and the “Ukraine should just give up” which she and her fellow braindead tankies insist on supporting.

I wish the other parties would get off their arses and put a candidate forward. This complete muppet is getting too much air time. She is just like the far right, only offers fear as the reason to vote for her. Vote for me and I’ll stop NATO, conscription and fighting for some US war. Tankies like her spread so much shit on the internet. Far right spreads crap on immigration and far left on the world outside Ireland.
