Companies in a large sector of UK economy talk to political party that may form government in future .
frankly they’d not be doing their jobs if they weren’t making contact in the same way they do and have done with labour and tories.
What a non story.

Capitalist class cosying up to the far right, hmmm? With a ready made minority as scapegoats already being dehumanised.
How…reminiscent.

Seriously, this is the same thing that happens over and over again. A politician pretends to be one of the people by joking, drinking beer and trying to act like someone that you’d want to talk to in the pub. He gets in and will make things worse for everyone except the ultra-rich. We’ve seen it so many times.

The comments here might just be a tad over the top considering if you’d actually read the article, it’s essentially a case of ‘banks unsure about Reform’s financial policies, especially on renewable energy which they have heavily invested in and a few representatives are asking questions’…
Meanwhile, people here are frothing at the bit using that new Reddit logic of ‘money=capitalism=bad!’… followed by, ‘Farage hates immigrants’, ‘Farage is a traitor’ etc.
At some point, you lot need to calm down.

For those who haven’t caught on yet.
Farage and his ilk do not care about you or this country. They never have and never will.

British employers will vote for (and fund) whoever promises to tax them the least, but crucially whoever will let them employ who they want. They want the government to keep their noses out of private business and their hiring practices.
If you think Prime Minister Farage will stop UK businesses from importing the cheapest labour possible, you’re a fool.

Farage is simply using the Trump playbook to get voted in. It’s all written down and was put into practice so I don’t know why anybody doesn’t see what’s happening right before their eyes. Trump said to the banks that he will get elected and he would remember those who helped him. He also said he’d remember those who didn’t. This is the dilemma that British bankers now face because if they get it wrong then they are toast.
Usual suspects will postulate that America isn’t Britain, blah de blah. All that says is that those folks just don’t get it nor do they understand what’s happening.

Seriously, a lot of people in this sub claim Farage is being astroturfed here by bots etc.
But every article I see of him and reform in this sub are negative, maybe if some of you just stopped posting about him for a bit then you’ll see a downturn in Farage themed posts?

I’m old enough to remember all of five years ago when Boris Johnson was the great right wing media darling who was going to solve all of Britain’s problems, sort Brexit, end immigration etc. Exactly as Reform are now.
The only problem was, he was a very obvious conman. Five years ago if you pointed this out you were a woke lefty cuck, now, pretty much everyone, including most Reform supporters, would admit its true.
And yet apparently we’re now just going to move onto the next very obvious conman, and expect different results.
The right in this country don’t want actual solutions, apparently, they just want to be grifted over and over again.

Fascists are corporatists, this is no suprise. A reform government will only truly benefit the few. They’re not even hiding this, Farage is harping on about fracking – guess who’s going to benefit from OUR land being exploited for resources? It’s not you and I.

Next election is in 2029, right? Why do I feel like we are already in campaigning times?

You mean Farage, the ex commodity trader is cozying up with ex colleagues from the industry he spent more than 20 years in?
