      I get it.

Can anyone truly say that they were in trouble, maybe being attacked, they’d prefer 2 women officers to try and help vs a woman and a man? Ideally 2 men.

Here’s a good hint guys and gals:

Anything that mentions Reform in the title is intended distraction, division and deception

I don’t think this is a homophobia thing, it sounds like a “female police aren’t physically strong enough to do the job properly” thing (although the article isn’t clear).

And to an extent, they have a point. Police who can’t physically control a situation are useless, and women are ultimately physically weaker than men, making them less suitable for front line roles.

Has anyone ever seen two female police officers on patrol together? I don’t remember ever seeing that before.

Edit: Have I worded this badly? I’ve no problem at all seeing two female officers on patrol together, I’d imagine that with their training and the guidelines issued to officers while patroling they’d be just as effective.

      > “I’d much rather see a *great, big, strapping male police officer* with a female, but there’s 100 per cent a place for women police officers.”

Oh she’s got a fantasy for sure.

    6. Always wonder how this actually works in terms of the police assigning officers to jobs.

In theory a police constable is a police constable. But will the sergeant or whoever actually be thinking about which officers are physically better equipped for rough stuff when giving assignments?

He’s not wrong look what happened to those two girls at Manchester airport. It’s for their own safety, you can’t ignore simple facts two average lads are gonna kick the shit out of two average ladies.

Reasonable opinion if you live in an area of high crime and want a proportionate response.Just saying….

    9. So she thinks female police officers should be relegated to children and family situations and only big strong men are tough enough to handle physical trouble. Why would a woman be pushing this kind of sexist bollocks? I know she’s Reform, but this is plain stupidity.

Wonder if it she used VPN?

Jokes aside, I can see the point behind this? I’ve seen a couple of times where female bobbies couldn’t handle someone but at the same time, I peg this down to not building up strength. If you’re out of the office, you need to be capable and applies for both.

Amount of times I’ve seen PO Lard struggling to get out of his car is more times than I can count in the recent decade.

Having two female officers together on a patrol is just poor planning. Female officers are a very useful resource, to my should be spread out across the shift as best as possible . This is because if a female offender is arrested you need a female officer to search them . Having female officers spread out means you can get that support to a Scene faster and still have others free to continue their duties

I would be glad to have ANY gender of police person help me if I needed it.

    13. Hmm. The last time a female police officer was killed round here, I don’t think a strapping male would have done much better against the *grenade* that was used.

Are only a select few allowed to feel uncomfortable? We should be told!

    15. I’ve been involved in numerous investigations where a big 6 ft geezer has been aggressive had to be held down my 4/5 other big geezers. The person who diffused the situation and calmed the man down was always a tiny woman.
