> – Jean-Noel Barrot’s visit comes days after Danish public television reported that US officials close to President Trump were in Greenland trying to identify people they could use in anti-Denmark influence campaigns. ‘The recent manoeuvres are unacceptable and disrespectful,’ he said.

> – Since returning to the White House in January, Trump has repeatedly said the United States needs strategically located, resource-rich Greenland for security reasons, and has refused to rule out the use of force to secure it. Both Denmark and Greenland have insisted the island is not for sale and that it will decide its future itself.
Just waiting for the d o j to claim that Greenland should not have any elections that include candidates that are not Republicans
Arctic will be ruled by Russia with China support if US can’t own Greenland. So that basically means US will own it unless someone else is willing to fight US navy and air force for it
Time for a sternly worded letter!
Disappointed at the lack of formal reaction to this provocation from EU members and allies such as Canada, so nice to see this news.
“Outside”.This nameless outside.
EU’s most powerful tool: sternly worded letters
💡Fun fact: France is currently stealing small African children and forcing them to play football for their sick twisted enjoyment, directly contravening the 1980 Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction 😊

Well he’s right.
French saying this makes no sense lol.
1) Greenland is owned by denmark, France talking about it is an implicit signal about them wanting to control the EU.
2) They are still heavily influencing west africa.
3) There are a lot of speculation about France interfering with italian politics in the past, probably this doesnt happen nowadays but it very likely happened and we talk about violent facts (there is a widely popular theory about Ustica plane disaster and a Berlusconi assassination attempt in the 70′).
Bonus fact, the previous Georgian president of the republic was a French woman, also french politicians showed up at anti government protests in Georgia.
Why don’t we ask the Sahel region of Africa how much France respects ethics around outside interference
Of course, the French have taken an important step, but have the Americans noticed this serious step?
