Ciao a tutti, mentre ho anni di ampia esperienza di zaino in spalla e arrampicata qui negli Stati Uniti, non sono mai stato in Norvegia. Ho programmato un viaggio per fare una notte a Trolltunga e sarò lì alla fine di questa settimana. Sono consapevole del tempo e sono preparato con attrezzatura affidabile e testata e ho l’esperienza di fare un’escursione come questa. L’unica cosa che non sono stato in grado di capire è se ho bisogno di una tenda indipendente o se la mia tenda in stile palo da trekking sarà sufficiente. Capisco che è ventoso lassù e questa tenda può resistere abbastanza bene al vento, tuttavia non è una tenda autoportante in cui la mosca è allacciata/tagliata nel corpo della tenda in cui le possibilità sono fuori sono quasi nulla. La mia mosca ha semplici clip con l’asta ed è picchettata, piuttosto che ritagliata alla tenda. Dalle foto nei rapporti di viaggio, ecc. Sono stato in grado di trovare sufficienti quantità di erba per impostare la tenda del palo da trekking (le superfici rocciose lo rendono così difficile che è quasi impossibile senza usare le rocce per staccare le cose) ma ogni foto ha una tenda autoportante … non ho visto una tenda da polo da trekking nelle foto. Se qualcuno ha la beta per questo, sarebbe molto apprezzato. Ho accesso a una tenda indipendente, ma sarebbe un prestito e non mi sento del tutto a mio agio a portare con me la tenda di qualcuno all’estero, preferirei prendere il mio.
Inoltre, ho capito che i paesi europei non fanno normalmente i contenitori iso-butano per le stufe da campo e che inizialmente avrei rinunciato al cibo caldo e a immergere, ma avrei portato la mia piccola stufa se non fosse così. Qualcuno può confermare piccoli contenitori iso-butano che potrebbero adattarsi a una stufa MSR in vendita a Odda o Bergen?
Ho aggiunto una foto della mia tenda, quella arancione. Una foto del punto in cui esiste un’erba sufficiente ma solo tende autoportanti e, infine, una foto dei contenitori isobutani.

Trekking pole tents are usually for more advanced people so I assume that’s one of the reasons you don’t see it as much. About the canisters I don’t think you will have any problem to find. I used to buy canisters at thansen, biltema, OBS, XXL for my pocket rocket…it’s been a while now tho. Weather is so unpredictable in those places I’d make a plan B. Good luck
You can buy the fuel canisters anywhere, it will not be a problem in either Bergen or Odda. I’ve even seen them at some gas stations. Free-standing tents are simply much more common, which is why you’re only seeing photos of them.
The area where people camp at Trolltunga is pretty big. Go on Google and find a sphere of the area. There will be grass and dirt around to stake. A lot of the area near the cliff is rock though. I had a cheap $100 REI tent, so you’ll be fine.
There are plenty of camping stores in Odda like Spot1 that sells gas and stoves.
