      No wonder. Who would want to live in a backward country where you can’t pay by card anywhere, fax machines are still in use instead of being in a museum, crime rates are high, and you have to carry a physical ID card because there’s no app that lets you show a digital one? Poland is miles ahead of Germany in many spheres now.

      “Flat lining” sounds like the German economy is dead.

      But the line is flat in the sense that it neither goes significantly up nor down.

      It’s a an anecdote view of the world around me, but I see the same, not just with poles, Spanish people are also returning, even hiring prioritises offices in Poland and Spain then Germany. 

      The German economy needs to be more competitive, and I don’t see the German government do anything to tackle that.
