You can do this in many different ways, but what is clear to me is that Denmark cannot do it alone,” says Minister of Defence Troels Lund Poulsen to the newspaper.

Frankly at 2 billion pound a piece Norway is paying. I would get simple patrol boats and more submarines instead.

I have a sneaky suspicion they are looking at the US *Constellation*-class. It’s the only thing that would fit the bill other than something like the F126/F127 but they are in an even worse state that the US offering.
I would also expect the Danes to want at least a similarly armed warship which leaves only the US (especially is the US manages to cram even more VLS on top of the 32 it already has.) or another Arrowhead from Babcock but that is very unlikely.

Yearh, last batch of new ships, they were built in Gdansk by North Korean workers(Danish state is not used to deal with postsovjet corruption and Russian Mafia). We are better of building ourselves, let it be own design or on license.

Is the [Anti-Submarine Warfare Frigate (ASWF)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-Submarine_Warfare_Frigate_(Royal_Netherlands_Navy)#List_of_ships) project of the Netherlands and Belgium not an option for Denmark? Hull will be made by Damen Shipyards Galați (in Romania), the rest will be done in the Netherlands by Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding.
Although I think it’s maybe too late, to join the project.
They should work with the Netherlands to developer a suitable air defence successor to Iver Huitfeldt- and De Zeven Provinciën-classes.
Basically [this one](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Future_Air_Defender) but now as a Dutch-Danish collaboration. The first unit could be named to commemorate [The Battle of the Sound](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_the_Sound).
