Only right thing to do. Dubrovnik is unbearable since Covid.

Ban cruise ships. You’ll lose 50% of the tourists but only 5% of tourism income because they don’t spend any money in the ports.

Been in this city. Wonderful to visit. Lots of tourists though indeed.

    4. Visited back in 2019 May. Even then half-way through we decided to just take one of the boats to visit the nearby island for the afternoon because it was so crowded in the city. I can’t imagine what it’s like now in high season.

Honestly , a smart move-Dubrovnik is beautiful but it’s been overwhelmed by tourists for years. Advance booking might actually make the experience better for everyone.

Visited in December. Lucky to have not gone during tourist season. For me it’s one of the most beautiful cities I’ve seen in Europe.

EU needs to make a law that requiers airline tickets to cost a minimum of 300€, no matter where they fly. This will help environment, and lessen the crowd. But i’m sure some socialists punks will start crying “BUT WHAT ABOUT POOR PEOPLE?! YOU DONT WANT THEM TO TRAVEL?!” Well to that i say – I’d like to drive a Ferrari, but you dont see my crying how it should be cheaper so i could afford it as well.

    8. Better to go during winter, no tourists and no heat and sweating after walking 200m

I don’t know if I’m being oversensitive to overtourism, but me and my family were in Austria this year. I was itching to see some beautiful countryside and wanted to go to Hallstatt, but there had been so much publicity that I decided not to and went to St Gilgen instead (which was lovely). Articles like these do put me off places.
