Still a far cry from the 900+ billion the US spends.

Fear is great motivation.
And so much of that spending is wasted by maintaining 27 separate militaries. Another problem is how much of that money goes outside of Europe, particularly to the US.
Given Russia failed miserably in its invasion of Ukraine and has suffered huge losses just which army is it that will be so easily over running NATO?
Good to see the EU (and NATO) increasing defence spending, you can never be too prepared in today’s climate.
In a perfect world without imperialists that would be 0. And that money could be spent for the improvement of the human race! 💪 thanks rUSsia

American here our Economy is about the same size of the EU like maybe 10% bigger.
We just approved 1.1 trillion USD in defense spending.
I want closer US EU ties or I would not be on this sub. But if American conservatives see this they will lose their minds. I guess I will tell them the exchange rate is 3 to 1.
