Was it not like 12 euro few months ago? Isn’t that a good bit higher than inflation?

To people who are saying to shop around.

Um ye, you can find cheaper Dubai chocolate, but with less weight…

at one point it was on sale in my local tesco for 3 euro so decided why not my thoughts

it’s not the worst Chocolate I’ve ever had but massively overpriced I’ll stick to my Cadburys ty hot take no chocolate is worth anything over 6 euro

    3. Is this still a thing?

I am absolutely certain that about 10 years ago Ritter Sport had a pistachio chocolate that did not sell in Ireland and disappeared after a couple of months. It was far better and cost, even with inflation in mind, a quarter of what this Dubai stuff is costing…..

What’s the story behind this chocolate? I’ve seen pictures of it here a few times, pistachio chocolates have been common in France forever

Who is buying this stuff ???? I tasted long time back and it was awfully sweet. I am pretty sure if I would have eaten the whole thing I would have diabetes..

    6. Avocado was the hype 10 years ago, some places were selling it for a fiver

Don’t you dare buy that shit.  Leave it to cunts.

I’d only pay that much for a 24 karat Dubai Chocolate Labubu.

Lindt a bit late to the party? Isn’t that tik tok trend over

    10. Saw it for 16 quid in Frankfurt airport last week. Duty free 😰

Hence why the only time I’ve ever tried dubai chocolate was on my summer holidays🤣 it was actually better than i expected, would definitely get again, not at that price tho!

Just bought this in Paris in the airport. My fault; dopes like me making them think it’s ok to price it as is.

    13. Socks-and-Jocks on

      Who’s actually buying it?

Like some dope is out there purchasing this gick.

It became popular in a year with a glut of low grade pistachio due to bad harvests. That stuff ended up in these bars and got wildly popular.
There isn’t the same volume of pistachio available so as a result it’s really expensive.

This chocolate is nice but I’m purposefully not buying it so ai don’t support these ridiculous prices

      I got a bar for 1.50 in clearance. Was nt worth 1. 50 !!

    17. susanboylesvajazzle on

I wouldn’t mind so much only it’s disgusting.

    18. MaelduinTamhlacht on

Tried it in Lidl, where it was a fiver (still way too dear).

      Meh.

I keep telling people we need to choose a supermarket chain which is deep gouging, and do a full boycott for 6 weeks. We need to land a bruise and make an example for others.

    20. Rabbit_Say_Meow on

Its horrible as well. Compare to those I got from Asian countries, Lindt Dubai chocholate taste no different from peanut butter for double the price.

      0/10

    21. pheechad on

You can buy a jar of the pistachio kadaifi filling in Lidl for a 3 or 4 euro. Combine that with a regular bar of chocolate and you’ll have the same thing at a fraction of that price.

Dubai Chocolate is a sociological test for humans and how far they’ll go to be apart of trends, I swear to Christ.

13 euro for a chocolate bar is insane. Nothing warrants that price.

    23. Yeah as others have commented ‘Dubai Style’ chocolate is overpriced, but I’m like 99% sure this is in the airport too..

    24. Where ? Name and shame! To me this is put there for people doing a quick shop and not looking at the prices ! There should be a law against this kind of crap !

    25. Suspicious-Secret-84 on

Was tempted to try it, then went to Spain and got a supermarket brand for 2 quid a bar, now I will never justify the insane prices for it over here.

The marks and spencer version is better value. A brick of it for a tenner
