Hard to tell, looks like a mink but its got real bad fur. Not a pine marten anyway.

      Pine martin I woudl expect

Place is rotten with them again

Part of the reason why the red squirrel is coming back into ireland as the pine martin is killing the grey ones

    3. Forgot to add to the original post, but it ran inside the house! We had the back door open, and we we’re chatting 10-15 feet from the entrance, and it sauntered in. Thankfully scared it out, before the dogs realised.

I would say Mink, is there a stream or riverĀ  near your house?

Definitely a mustelid as it’s got the typical “bouncy” walk. Most probably a mink (maybe with a bit of mange around the tail) judging by the colour, but it seems very small? Thought it could be a very dark coloured stoat, but it’s most likely a young mink. Definitely not a pine marten, totally wrong colour and it looks far too small.

      It’s definitely not a pine Marten. It’s a mink

Go over to it and, if it fucks you up, then you can be quiet certain it’s a mink

    8. I think it’s a weseal rather than a stoat. See a weasel is weasely recognised whereas a stoat is stoataly different
