Ok, I see that no one has read the article and assumed it was the council bowing to nimbys.
What’s actually the case here is that the council have refused this since they consider the proposed development to be an underutilisation of the lands. It’s hard not to agree. A land bank close to a town is better as housing or commercial than a solar farm which can be located anywhere.
