France being France.
Hopefully for good.
It never ceases to amaze me that the French managed to build a functioning country. Those cigarette huffing bastards love going on strike.
As usual – lots of noise and disruption but not a sniff of an alternative plan that solves the fundamental issues. Coming up with solutions is too much effort apparently.
We have such a huge deficit, whatever shall we do? You know what would be a good idea? Stop the economy to increase the deficit!

The funny thing is, almost nobody is talking about chat control in France. Even on r/france (which leans left politically), the thread about it didn’t get much popularity. No mass media is talking about it, just a few pages mentioning child protection, that’s it. Same for both left and right leaning media. I guess the left is a bit happy because persecution is more on the right than on the left at the moment, but this could switch at any time (talking about losing jobs, having bank accounts closed for individuals or groups).
