Plus families 🙂 If they genuinely helped U.K. forces at the risk of their and their families lives that seems the least we can do.
Otherwise what’s the point?
“Could” is doing some serious heavy lifting in the title.
As discussed in the article, “An estimated 7,355 people WILL be resettled through a secret scheme designed to bring victims of the massive data breach to the UK.”
Do we get a chance to vote on this or is the govt just ramming it through again? Ideally with press restrictions so we don’t even find out until it’s too late.
I don’t really care what they did in 2001, I don’t really want them here. It’s not my fault the taliban arent too thrilled about their bacha bazi parties.
The only reason Afghanis are having to flee Afghanistan is because Boris Johnson and Joe Biden stupidly withdraw all their armed forces from Afghanistan all at once and left the country vulnerable enough to be taken over by extremists.
Its our government’s fault, so its our government’s responsibility to intervene and grant these people asylum.
Don’t like it? Then elect better politicians, and remember their crimes in government when the people who come after them aren’t trailblazers in comparison.
Good. They risked their lives to help our soldiers, it’s the least we can do in return.

We should help them if they helped out troops but I imagine it would work out cheaper to pay another country with a cheaper COL to take them
UK had no business meddling in the Middle East playing world police, now suffer the consequences.
Im being made homeless on the 25th despite suffering with disabilities since I was 26 im 41 now and my body will no longer let me work and the goverment won’t help.. and yet I paid taxes all my life.
I really just want to give up ..7000 more immigrants who are probably going to be anti western culture. I belive there more Afghanistan people than we have in our entire military …
But as ling as thr goverment can make huge mistakes at the safety and security of its people that’s all that matters.
