      On trial for harassment of a trans woman a few days after he was separately arrested for incitement of hatred against trans women.

      If someone took away his access to the internet they’d be doing both him and trans people a big favour.

      It’s funny how this prick and other far right gowls get to say we don’t want to hear this LGBTQIA+ agenda, we don’t want it pushed on us (keep in mind this is usually in response to Pride month and it’s usually Pride flags that are up) yet they want to push their nationalism and “patriotism” on the rest of the country by hanging “their” flag on poles. Keep in mind they invited down Unionists during anti-immigration protests

      I really can’t find a way to defend him… why can’t people just let other people be people? What the fuck difference does it make to his life if someone he doesn’t know is trans?

      why does sport have to be just men or women, why can’t there be a trans category?

      I’m in my 50s. I’ve met exactly 2 trans people out of the thousands of people I’ve met in my life. I’ve met more murderers than that.

      Arresting this guy in such dramatic fashion only plays into the hands of Right Wing Reform.

      They are delighted with this. It is honey to a bee. It makes Reform more popular and in doing so undermines every moderate party. This nonsense is feeding them!

      I find it interesting that no article about this seems to point out that the victim of Linehans harassment and whose phone he threw into the middle of a road was 17 at the time it took place.

      Almost as if they know it would look worse that he yelled disgusting abuse at a minor rather than an adult.

      I was just reading that Graham isn’t actually a British citizen but only holds an Irish passport. Does this mean now that the Brits will arrest anyone who lands in their country for making a post that they deem as contravening their laws?

      I honestly think banning Linehan from using social media would cause him more pain and anguish than a jail sentence. 

      Like most of the anti-trans crowd, the views they express are more a symptom of deep psychological dysfunction than anything else – if there were no Trans people, they’d be taking out their anger on some other group.

      What’s his issue?

      Clearly been fed by all the mouth breathers on the internet, egging him on. You won’t see them losing their jobs or partners over a cause that doesn’t affect them though.

      The media is doing a poor job reporting this too.
      This story came on the news the other day and a family member of mine (who doesn’t know the full story but loves fr Ted and just assumed he “sent out a tweet”) said “this seems a bit ridiculous”.
      I had to explain to her what this guy has been up to the last few years. To which she replied, “oh right, he’s clearly not well so”.

      The Linehan cycle is that he gets platformed by the worst people you. Emboldened by this, he shits himself in public. Those same people then pretend he doesn’t exist. Until enough time has passed, and the cycle begins again.

      Let this be very, very clear.

      This is not an attack on free speech. This is not the deep state. This is not “big media”.

      He quite literally encouraged people to act out violence on someone just because they’re trans. That is a hate crime and disgusting, no matter what your own political beliefs are.

      Harassment of a minor. Under eighteen. Ripped her phone out of her hand and threw it into the road while throwing abuse at her, then encouraged men who saw her in public to follow her into toilets to punch her in the balls. ‘Allegedly.’ And it’s not like he didn’t know her age.

      Like this is a tweet of his (in response to a tweet/image I don’t agree with either, might I add).

      But he has some brass neck on him to say trans people are all violent, and him being lifted for saying “If a trans-identified male is in a female-only space, he is committing a violent, abusive act. Make a scene, call the cops and if all else fails, punch him in the balls.”

      He has a platform, and he’s using it to incite violence. Absolute mad loser, fascinating fall from grace.

      not really. he posted a tweet which blatantly called for trans women to be violently assaulted. he can get off without a conviction, but it still won’t mean he didn’t tweet it.
