I understand Zelenskyys position, but I wonder if it’s diplomatically the right choice to ask for something knowing those countries will never go for it.. should we? Yes. But no government in Western Europe right now has the guts to make that decision, they can barely manage finding troops in case the fighting does stop, let alone when it hasn’t.
And honestly, if I was in the Dutch army for example (or had family was in active duty right now) I’d probably hope they don’t go until it’s clear it’s safe either. Very tough.
It’s just pissing in the wind. Like at this point, are there any reasons to believe those countries start war with russia in case russia attacks again and not just bail out?
