A Green proposal asking for “the Scottish and UK Governments to immediately impose a package of boycotts, divestment and sanctions targeted at the state of Israel and at companies complicit in its military operations and its occupation of Palestine” was passed by 62 votes to 31, with 21 abstentions.
It was added on to a motion tabled by External Affairs Secretary Angus Robertson which read “the Parliament agrees with the recognition of the State of Palestine and that peace in the region must be pursued by all”.

Interesting that only 10 people voted against it, that means at least 20 odd tories must have at least abstained.

I have a genius idea for a compromise! Don’t boycott Israel! Just start selling weapons to Hamas too!
That way everybody is happy – Israel get their weapons, Hamas also gets weapons, our military industry is supported and we are overall neutral!
I’m just saying… Holy lands have been violent since before our country was founded and would probably stay violent way after we are all dead. The blood God demands blood, clearly. If it’s happening anyhow then why not make some money from it?
