IMO is class. I went to the classes in UCD on weekends and mainly scratched my head but it did fuel a love of more advanced maths. Also there were girls there.
I remember doing these classes in Limerick when I was younger. I was somewhat baffled most of the way through, but I did wind up doing a theoretical physics degree afterwards.
