On the night of September 7, 2025, russians attacked Kyiv with drones. There are dead and wounded. 

In the Sviatoshyn city-district, where the heaviest destruction occurred, a woman and a two-month-old baby were killed.

Now, the survivors are gathered outside, wrapped in blankets, unable to collect even the basics. One resident said rescuers warned that it was unlikely they would be able to return to their homes in the coming days.

Bohdana came to the building to find out about her friend Ruslan, who lived there with his wife and child.

“I contacted the police, but there is no information yet. I understand they are searching now. The night was truly terrible. It was very loud. I also live nearby,” she said.

Search and rescue operations continue at the site of the destroyed apartment building. In the morning, rescuers recovered the bodies of two people – a young woman and her two-month-old son.

Locals said that the woman’s husband, the baby’s father, was taken to the hospital with injuries. They added that the family also has an older daughter, though it is unknown whether she was at home at the time of the strike.

Meanwhile, Mayor Vitalii Klitschko said that rescuers are searching under the rubble of the building, where the bodies of the woman and child were found, for a third victim.

The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration clarified that rescuers are trying to recover the body of a third person killed, while another individual is considered missing.
