A breach of ethics by a politician?! You mean our current system of popularity contests and the ability to accept bribes/gifts/lobbying/book deals/consultancy work etc. in the highest positions of power doesn’t produce moral candidates?? I’m shocked
Ethics committee: “Boris, you have breached the revolving door and ethics rules.”

As long as there are no financial penalties or even a threat of jail time, they don’t care. (And why should they?)
Isn’t this one of those corruption things that gets rigorously investigated in other countries and leads to serious jail time?
The days of high profile politicians being investigated and arrested for their crimes like Silvio Berlusconi feels like such a long time ago…
