What the hell happened to UK Labour? They appointed a person with likely immigrant backround to pull up the ladder and let no more in?

This is not the way to deal with the far right mobs on the streets, this is literally giving in to them.

This is a very dumb idea for two reasons:

1. Punishing people who are trying to get through the legal visa process because their government refuses to make a return deal is only going to mean that some of those people try to enter illegally after they are prevented from entering legally through no fault of their own.
2. Most countries have reciprocal visa agreements. So if you pull visas from one country that country will then pull visas for your citizens. Which not only punishes ordinary British people who want to go on holiday, visit their family, accept a job offer, etc. but it also makes Britain a less attractive place for big multinational companies to operate out of.

I “could” win the lottery. Am I going to, no?
