      Why not buy European arms for Ukraine with the funds? At least that way the money is reinvested in Europe.

      But yeah, I don’t think anything will come of this anyway.

      How about not investing this money into weapons and lets say invest in in roads, railways, other transport infrastructure, scientific and health research (universities, laboratories, tech companies, etc…), electrical and other energy grids… stop fueling the fucking war… Buying foreing weapons and giving away our money to make some other country rich and at the same time speaking how europe has to become strong and independent again is like shooting yourself in the foot during a press conference where you claim you are going to win a marathon… its contradicting

      Fuck Orban but also, why keep investing in a country that is actively screwing us over ? Unless it is something critical for Ukraine, seek longer term EU options.

      why not just send all the outdated weapons to ukraine and buy new weapons with the fund?

      They should dump that money into EU production, even if it’s slower. This nonsense of sending money to a madman’s US war industry has to stop. You’re writing the checks for the rope to hang yourselves with.

      People that all the time says that europeans weapons takes more times than american must either be bot or have a victimization problem at this point, especially when they have no idea what they are saying but assume that it’s the truth.

      Every company clearly ramped up their production, see mbda for example that recently say it again that they are just waiting for a client to launch the mass production of their one way effector which would be 50k€ ~ and 1000 units a month ~ for depending of the version 500 to 800km and a different warhead depending of the need of the clients.

      Or the fact that they are planning to do 5x on the production of aster missile in 2026 when it was not such a big objective, i could take lot other examples like the production of caesar being now produced at 12 units a month compared to 6 for a similar german system when at the start for caesar it was not even 2 .

      There is no reason to not ask for those funds to not go to Europe itself since it has the capability to fullfill all the needs that Ukraine has.
