It’s utterly fascinating how far the Tories have given up on power so quickly. There’s knowing a former leader was bent, I’m sure a lot of serious political parties might overlook that, but then there’s knowing there’s evidence in the public domain that they were bent: I would expect any other party would be making a song and dance about transparency and making a break with the past? But no, they’re standing by their man. Totally just ditched any hope of being in power ever again.
