      this is terrifying and even more terrifying to see how many people are totally fine with it. this will definately protect the kids once mom or dad get arrested or bank account frozen and no more money for food, just for saying the politically incorrect thing online.

      Why not push social media companies to refine their algorithm, 90% of the time you’re not seeing the content you actually want, just the stuff that provokes you into arguing.

      This is another push for Chat Control. It’s more of the authoritarian bullshit the EU is sliding into to ensure they can read all of our messages.

      For me, this is a prime example of an overreaching EU.There is absolutely no sensible reason why the decision on how a country should deal with children’s use of social media should be an issue at EU level.

      If politicians and citizens in Sweden think this is an important and good idea, they are free to implement it in Sweden. But why do they want to extend their political views on this issue to citizens of other countries?

      It seems to me more and more that the EU and many member states are completely ignoring the principle of subsidiarity that they themselves uphold. And this fact is fueling skepticism toward the EU throughout Europe. The EU should not interfere in issues that can be regulated sovereignly at the national level.

      I don’t need you to take care of my kid I can do it my self and I don’t want to give you my ID for going online or in fucking Australias case using Google maps….

      This is just another attack on our privacy..

      Also why the hell is this happening all over the world in just a few months?

      Actually, social media access should not be allowed to children. Starting by here, where we are, where hard core porn, and strong violence, is freely accessible on the top of the search bar.

      Kids should not even be exposed to addicting algorithms, and I would even argue, advertising (and this is the reason I block almost all advertising on my home, through using a DNS filter and paying for non-ad streaming).
