I don’t think it’s just an issue with Chinese cars, lots of modern cars appear to be easier to get into with the right bit of technology.

Sometimes you think going back to a physical key would be better than all this keyless entry and keyless start stuff.

Rather a misleading headline since the real story seems to be a standard – car manufacturers work with Thatcham Research and the alter the manufacturing process *before* the cars a sent to the UK for sale, exactly the same as all car manufacturers do.

    3. You would think that’s the Chinese bring their A game when it comes to surveillance.

What the hell is up with the guardian going to absolute shit and posting misleading titles?

If you read the article it says the manufacturers were told what they needed to do for the UK market by insurers and then complied with that. A total non story with a misleading headline!

I’m guessing car crime isn’t such a big issue in china… UK meanwhile would rather you pay for the lack of policing and justice here.

We should have the same facial recognition surveillance as China and eliminate the crime.

Won’t be a popular take here but Tesla’s are a great choice if you’re concerned about car theft.
