Only a third of companies scan corporate email and web traffic from corporate devices? That can’t be right…..

      There’s a huge difference between

      >One provider of employee monitoring offers to report on workers’ “idle time”, “employee productivity tracking” and use of unapproved AI or social media as well as “real-time insights into employee behaviour, including screenshots, screen recordings, keystrokes, and app usage”.

      and

      >Monitoring often amounts to checks that inappropriate content is not being accessed,

Whats grim about this is that people never used to be monitored and had downtime with no issues at all. No one can work 100% of the time.

I do find the idea of companies having culture, which involves people being 100% productive and not speaking to anyone.

It’s all going to come crashing down sooner rather than later.
