Well we already have a family of military satellites called SKYNET, so why the hell not.

Given how reliably ai fucks things up, and the job of the military is to literally fuck things up, this might actually be a good way to use ai.

Believe it when I see it. MOD has a long and inglorious history of delivering this kind of procurement project many years late, way over budget and way under the imagined specs and performance, to the point of obsolescence on arrival.

Yes just like Boxer will be with us any day now at initial operating capacity, first proposed in the 1998 defence review LOL.

If you see a defence deadline. It’s most likely horse manure, we still don’t have proper weapon integration of our F35s ffs.

I do wish LBC would give some more scrutiny of these claims.

Defence will likely see further cuts and as mentioned this is just concept phase.

Even assuming it will even work as intended,  how is this a good thing?

      Human accountability is important.

Isreal already has ai systems that generate targets based on black-boxed maths so they can claim they only strike valid targets.  I can only see this being the same.
