‘Vladimir Putin is responsible for the murder of my husband’ Navalny’s team obtained evidence he was poisoned in Arctic prison, widow says

After Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny died in a prison in Kharp, in Russia’s Far North, on February 16, 2024, his team managed to secure samples of his biological material and send them abroad to laboratories in two Western countries. Tests confirmed that Navalny had been poisoned, his widow, Yulia Navalnaya, announced on Wednesday.
“What happens next? I don’t know. A Russian citizen was killed on Russian soil, and all of the evidence is there. Western countries have no legal grounds to open or pursue a criminal case,” she said.
Navalny’s team also obtained testimony from five employees of the Kharp prison describing what happened to the opposition leader in the final days of his life. Yulia Navalnaya gave a detailed account of their statements.

For me, he was no better than Putin himself in 2001.
I will not shed tears for him.
The fact of his opposition to Putin doesn’t make him a good person. Prigozhyn also opposed Putin, he still remained a terrible person. One good thing cant undone another one.
Update for people unaware about what I am talking about:
• Navalny complained about the UN security council meeting in Georgia. He did not like the Costa Rica ambassador’s remarks. “When we’re done bombing Georgia – Navalny wrote – we should deal with Costa Rica,” suggesting bombing the country too.
• Navalny supported the invasion of Georgia and wrote in his blog that he would “really like to hit Georgian General Staff with a cruise missile.” He called Georgian people by slur “rodents” and called to deport
• When in 2018 the Ukrainian Orthodox church was finally granted autonomy by Patriarchate of Constantinople (a historic step towards religious independence from Moscow), Navalny complained that it would be a disaster for “Russkiy Mir”, a colonial concept of Russian culture’s superiority.
• His most famous foreign policy statement, however, was the “sandwich quote”. In 2014, he was asked in an interview if he would return Crimea, which was just illegally annexed by Russia. He replied asking if Crimea is a “sandwich or something that you can take and give back?”
• On February 20th 2023, on X, Navalny also answered the question if “all russians are inherently imperialistic?” with a categorical no. He proceeded to compare russia and Belarus, which in itself was bizarre considering Belarus was never an empire to begin with and, on the contrary, was at the receiving end of russian imperialism herself.
He was the same imperialist as Putin, and pretended to be liberal and good as Putin in 2001.

I will never understand the reason behind his return if only he had like 1-2 years to live and wanted to die a martyr. But then again, to go out like that is just ….
