      I commented on this piece of news earlier, thinking they’re kind of giving in to those spreading these lies.

      After reading several comments, I can now also see this as them going for the “so, you want to play this game? have fun paying up compensations in a defamation case” approach. From some point of view, that could be seen as a power move.

      Even then, I still feel like this is a situation where showing you’re above these absolutely bonkers claims by obvious trolls or deranged people would have been the way to go for an actual leader of a country.

      Edit: didn’t read the article and forgot they were suing that dummy. I hope they win. Even though Mrs. Macron is creepy and gross.
