Beautiful architecture in the hills behind the train station, but poverty stricken because of mine closures and mismanaged, especially decisions like that hideous Calatrava train station. Les Ardentes is nice.

I was born there. And I’m happy my parents left quickly. I find the city itself ugly and the mindset is « different ». For the best or the worst.
