Said the man who flatlined M&S for years. It’s doing well now he’s long gone.

And he says its because of brexit, but lbc frame it as if its a starmer problem.

We need media not owned by right wing billionaires

Businesses are worried about what other increases they’ll be subjected to. Is it any wonder the economy isn’t flourishing? It’s more expensive to employ people, harder to get rid of bad employees and energy costs are through the roof.

I enjoyed this morning when Nick had an ex oil executive to talk about whether Trump was right to advise Starmer to tap into the North Sea.

    5. And yet we are going to face yet more taxes instead of cutting welfare and focusing on education and healthcare for the working.

Guy who can’t run a chain of shops tells us how to run a country.

I still believe that the fact that we have billionaires is one of the problems.
There is only so much money in the system, and when a small group of people are hoarding more and more wealth, that leaves less and less for the rest of the population.

      It’s simplistic but it’s true.
“There used to be money, but no billionaires. Now we have billionaires, but no money!”

I don’t get the if Brexit didn’t happen argument we would be fine financially. Europe is in a financial crisis and has been for years. If we were still part of the mess the drain on us would be far worse, taxation on trade with America would be way higher. Everywhere is struggling with money at the moment it’s just a matter of how much.

The UK’s been fucked since 2008 and hasn’t recovered since the recession.

    10. Brexit has been devastating to our economy and society. Also, tax reform is urgently needed.

He’s right, in the local shopping centre there’s M&S trolleys EVERYWHERE, in the trolley parks for the Home Bargains there’s loads of M&S trolleys that the lazy cunts can’t be arsed to walk back to the actual place.

You don’t see the HB ones anywhere else!

    12. He’s on old rich man. Whatever happens to the country he’ll be fine.

Now if you can put your biases aside, is what he saying true or not? If we don’t have a strong economy we will become a poor country.

25% of of working age people in the UK do not work. The government and business need to work together to support that.

Labour, that party for workers, needs to get more people working and you can’t be pro-worker if you’re not pro business because its business that create jobs that fund public services.

Hardly Labours fault he turned one of the UKs most popular brands into a shit show. Luckily they managed to recover from him.

There speaks a Tory who backed it all … Then one year in trying to fix things he’s slagging the new government off

      Couldn’t make it up.

The economy has flatlined since 2008 – well before Brexit and well before Starmer
