Many people don’t fully realize that almost all the aid sent to the frontline is consumable material with a fairly short lifespan. That’s why it’s crucial to remember that the war continues and to put in maximum effort to accelerate victory, just as we did in the first days of the invasion.

This applies especially to military vehicles. Few people know that, at best, a car on the frontline “lives” for a maximum of two to three months—provided it doesn’t come under fire. In reality, the lack of roads has a huge impact on a vehicle’s “survivability.”

More often, if the vehicle isn’t armored, it lasts only about a month in the combat zone. Cars are targeted with machine guns, mortars, and artillery, leaving no chance for a “metal horse” to survive. On top of that, a vehicle might hit a mine or be involved in a serious accident, since there are many stressful situations at the frontline where a driver may not always be able to react quickly.

And yet, even within such a short service life, vehicles still play an extremely important role. First and foremost, they ensure the rapid movement of soldiers between positions and permanent deployment points. Typically, a unit’s servicemen are divided into groups of four to five people. Each of them carries weapons, essential items, and ammunition—adding up to dozens of kilograms. During combat, these groups must remain mobile and, if necessary, quickly change positions. Such rapid redeployment is made possible precisely thanks to vehicles.
