That is ok, if you want decent steak cooked by someone competent you are already paying that anyway. Absolutely nothing wrong with Rump if you go somewhere decent and they use good quality meat.
An article tailor made for this sub – watch how the r/unitedkingdom miseries will comment telling us the country is collapsing, they love this kind of news
They’ve even started putting security tags on steak now. The thing is, the shelves stay full right up to the use-by date, so most of it just ends up in the bin. Instead of lowering prices so people can actually buy it, supermarkets would rather waste it.
It’s no surprise shoplifting is going up. Some gangs are even stealing to order because it’s become such a profitable trade. Meanwhile, ordinary people are left struggling to afford basics.
If farmers are leaving the industry then perhaps our Australian and New Zealand cousins can fill the gap. I am pretty sure Irish beef farmers will be delighted to ship more prime beef into the UK. If that is the case the price will settle and no one will notice any real difference.
Glad I gave that shite up, waste of money for what you get.
Lamb, pork, chicken and fish all miles better
I just see what’s in the mark down section. But they are become less attractive too as the don’t take a lot off. Everything is expensive.
I never go out for steak. I can buy a beautiful filet from the butchers for about £10. Reverse sear it at home and it will taste better than most restaurants.
