Everything I’ve read and seen about this lady since she stopped being PM has been against my will

    2. mickturner96 on

      >Liz Truss is still

Honestly, the most surprising part of that news headline

    3. jenpalex on

I think Liz Truss and her anti-State ilk should be given a chance to have a demonstration project.

Could we not give her the Isle of Wight to do anything she likes except set up a government.

    4. Krabsandwich on

Liz Truss is at war with reality, instead of just admitting that she went a bit to far as PM and the markets reacted badly its always someone else’s fault. She would be better served just admitting she made a mess of it and looking at what went wrong. If she did that she could get at least two books and a couple of speaking tours out of it at least.

    5. Dramatic_Strategy_95 on

I still like the theory that because she always wore the same ring necklace it was a day collar and she was actually a sub whose dom got off on public humiliation.

    6. MondeyMondey on

I think the lettuce thing probably drove her properly mental. That would truly destroy a persons soul.

    7. Archistotle on

This is your per-mention reminder that Liz truss really hates it when you say that Liz Truss crashed the economy. She has threatened to sue people over mentioning the fact that she, Liz Truss, crashed the economy, it bothers her that much when people bring up the fact she crashed the economy.

So please, whatever you do, don’t mention the fact that Liz Truss crashed the British Economy.

    8. deadflowers5 on

I can’t decide if she was used as a useful idiot by big financiers who made money shorting the pound with her budget or she was in on it the entire time.

    9. Admirable_Mix2745 on

Human lettuce. Let’s not forget she was an appalling politician long before she stumbled into the PM position by virtue of being the backwash of the dregs of tories left standing at that time.

    10. shaun2312 on

She will always be now, there is no other way to justify how bad she was other than to blame someone else.

    11. RaymondBumcheese on

I mean, ‘was Liz Truss a victim of deliberate sabotage?’ is barely a question worth asking. Was an unelected moron stopped from inflicting further harm on this country? Yes, obviously. You could even say it was the duty of every institution to move against her.

Its not ‘deep state’ it was a public service.

    12. ItsAMangoFandango on

Is she still blaming the illuminati for the consequences of all the decisions she made?

    13. Responsible-Kiwi870 on

Someone should tell the deep state, I imagine they’ll be furious when they find out.

    14. parasoralophus on

‘Truss and Kwarteng do not seem to have read the minutes of the Bank’s Monetary Policy Committee meeting, published on 4 August, which detailed the Bank’s plan to reduce its assets by £80bn, and which predicted £10bn of sales every three months.’

    15. FoxtrotThem on

She definitely cocked up, but the force that came against her was brutal and it was already in motion before the fiscal announcements of her/Kwasis government. I think there is stock on something moving against her, but whether thats the ‘Deep State’ is something else and it was actually just her Conservative colleagues.

    16. Speak_To_Wuk_Lamat on

Interviewer: “liz truss. Lettuce talk about the deep state”.

      Liz: “what?”

      Interviewer: “what?”

    17. ObiWanKenbarlowbi on

Good? Should keep her away from any actual politics where she can do harm.

    18. ACompletelyLostCause on

I used to have a slightly positive opinion on her (not that I knew much about her) until she became PM. Then she seemed to be just weird and detached from reality. I looked for into her career and that disassociation with reality seems to permeate her whole career.

I kept asking how someone like that could obtain high office? Then I saw the sorts of people that surround Trump, all the weird delusional paranoid people that surround Farage. It seems that it’s almost a requirement for the job.

She’s like a lot of people that become wealthy and a celebrity, whatever strange beliefs that had and kept private, seem to utterly consume them and they disappear down a Qanon rabbit hole and never come back up.

    19. Odd_Ninja5801 on

She’s still at war with reality, from what I’ve seen.

    20. ONLY_SAYS_ONLY on

She’s like one of those Japanese WW2 soldiers still fighting a solo guerrilla war on the jungle some 30 years later.

    21. you_aint_seen_me- on

She has nothing else and with the strengthening of the grift culture, we can expect more of the same

    22. Helios_AI on

Why can’t this Little Gem just Romaine irrelevant? Instead this absolute Butterhead has to keep Arugulaing about a Radicchiol conspiracy that prevented her from growing that Green Leaf.

Lettuce just move on from this nutty Crisphead.

    23. Little_Standard_1953 on

“Liz Truss – a woman so stupid you keep expecting her to drop dead because she’s forgot to breathe” – Frankie Boyle

    24. Saw_Boss on

I’m incredibly envious of her confidence, her ability to keep saying this despite everything suggesting the opposite.

    25. Fjordi_Cruyff on

I think it’s a good thing. Keeps her busy and out of harms way.

    26. knitscones on

Liz Truss is part of the deep state.

She carried out their orders, sent U.K. into financial chaos, threatened everyone with a mortgage!

Now she is under orders to deflect from think tank chaos?

    27. SignalButterscotch73 on

The decomposed lettuce is still more relevant to current affairs than anything from this nutter.

    28. Southern_Cracker on

Every interview I see of her I’m more and more amazed she got anywhere near a serious job in politics. So incredibly thick and terrible personality for politics.

    29. PeachyBums on

“Kwarteng also told me that Bank officials did not alert him to the date on which their QT plan would be published, nor did they communicate any likely impact that these combined sales would have on a gilt market in which yields had already been rising. “They didn’t at all,” he said. “They kept very quiet about what they were doing.””

Wow, the complete lack of accountability for the people that are supposed to be running the country. “They didnt tell us it would make a difference” for a key change in one of the most essential parts of gov financing. Beyond incompetent

    30. kahnindustries on

Has anyone told her she isn’t prime minister any more?

    31. RangeReader on

Mad as a box of frogs. Wish the media would stop giving her oxygen

    32. SuperTed321 on

She’s still at war with reality not the so called ‘deep state’.

    33. voxo_boxo on

She’s firmly on the list alongside Farage and Trump of people you wish would just fuck off. Liz Truss is totally irrelevant and I imagine she hates it.

    34. mikeysof on

This silly cow is stood in the corner of her padded room fighting her shadow.

    35. tyrefire2001 on

I mean she’s at war with the deep state in the same way that I’m at war with the planet Mars

    36. Bernardmark on

I’m convinced Liz Truss based her personality on Nicola Murray

    37. MC_chrome on

The far right continues to exist at the scale partly because media organizations simply can’t help but talk about its figures.

Liz Truss would go away if people just fucking ignored her

    38. Open-Difference5534 on

What baffles me is that Ms. Truss went to Merton College, Oxford, yet has never publically demonstrated the albilty to visit, let alone study, at an elite UK university.

    39. Shawn_The_Sheep777 on

Farage supported her mini budget. Tells you everything you need to know whose side Reform is on

    40. Liz Truss comes off as someone who’s at war with basic instinct and thought, and finds it an uphill struggle to exercise common sense, let alone understand the concept of the “deep state” (i.e. anything and anyone that actually knows what they’re doing and knew her plans for the economy were deeply stupid).

It’s a miracle she’s made it to whatever age she is. There’s a reason that lettuce was more popular than her. It had more personality and braincells, for starters.

It’s bad enough we’re being reminded she existed, let alone her “thoughts” of the moment. She should disappear into political obscurity, and stop appearing at the Cenotaph each year to remind us that yes she was PM and somehow has security for life.

    41. ImaginaryParrot on

You know, I felt like a failure for being off work as I’m sick and I’m falling behind.

      This makes me feel better.
