Still crazy to me how this is not getting the proper traction. It isn’t hyperbole to say this is 1984esque. And I only seen it mentioned on here and sometimes even here it doesn’t get many responses. We get what we deserve
I told y’all Romania will fall in the pro camp just because it’s a useful tool to fight the ones who don’t take bad legislation quietly aka the teachers who protested awful education reforms.

The German Grundgesetz explicitly refers to the right to postal secrecy also for electronic communication.
Chat control is inherently not compatible with that.
Not to mention it’s basically technically impossible without spending gigantic amounts on server storage capacity.

Most of the Danish MPs are opposing this though. That’s crazy that the Social Democrats are pushing this.
