Its funny to see dennmark far right taking off. Are the 5 foreigners still too many for the far right?

As a danish person, and a social science teacher, I have to object to these labels.

In what world is Danish People’s Party considered far right? They are, at most, centre-right. They can barely even be considered rightwing. They are basically social democrats, who want old people to have a nice pension life, and wants the muslim migration, which began in the 1960’s, reversed.

Denmark Democrats can’t really be considered far right either, unless you want to say that anti-muslim migration + lobbyism for farmers is far right.

Now, i dont know much about danish politics. But it seems their rightwing stance on immigration worked wonders to quelling the far right. However, they went right on everything, so why bother with a watered down right when you can just get real right.

    4. Funny how you showed the rightmost part of the graph instead of everything from the 2022 election onwards. Would this contextualize the trends in the above pic a bit too much?

What are the differentiating factors between various right wing parties?

So the red to yellow pipeline was real all the time?

    7. The left-right spectrum means nothing honestly. How is one far-right party going brr and another one stalling?

So much for all the people who said if we just give the far-right everything they want it’ll stop them from taking power.

    9. Can Denmark have a revolution before they get this chatcontrol shit through?

The biggest thing you can conclude is that people are very unhappy with the current government, something i fully understand. I don’t think the current government really represent the beliefs and desires of the general public, and seems to rule without care for the opinions of the masses. Take chat control, which they introduced and wants to push onto the whole EU. Massively unpopular, but they do not care.

For fuck sake, plz get rid of this naive left-right classification. This one dimensional description is more than outlandish.

    12. Which one of these are Enhedslisten? Red-green? Weird translations, or was “unity list” more weird? Lol

I will ask what I always ask when I see these polls. What makes these parties “far-right”?

    14. crugerdk on

How is DF far-right and S center-left, when their policy is like 95% identical?

    15. NotSkyve on

I could never vote for Denmark Democrats. They should have called themselves Denmocrats if they wanted my vote. Also I don’t live their. Also I probably have very much directly opposed political views. But that name would have gotten me.

Capitalism is collapsing, far right on the rise everywhere, fascism incoming!

I’m surprised that liberal alliance is that high, ngl, used to be WAY lower.

Weird how the Citizen’s Party (Borgernes Parti) is labelled only as right and not far right. They are the pro-Trump, anti-EU party and their chairman comes across as the kind of person who starts barfights.

    20. This graph is *extremely* misleading and seeks to paint reality as something it is not.
