it’s insane how much is being wasted to make disposable vapes like this, especially when refillable vapes and pod systems exist. it’s just pure greed and indifference towards the environment

The disposable vapes are so expensive, I’m literally vaping IVG’s summer blaze right now 😅 he could absolutely buy a refillable one, he just doesn’t want to.

While that should be not allowed to happen I gotta say your friend should do better too.

Juts buy a refillable one and the battery and everything lasts for years.

Yes easy to blame the manufacturers and yes we should but the oirdinary consumer is just as bad.

Edit: I cant get over that tbh. They actually make rechargeable batteries with presumably usb port and integrated circuits and everything as throwaway items. FFS. Thats bad.

Yeah I saw one of these for the first time a week or so ago.

I (wrongly) assumed you’d buy one then just buy the liquid cartridges.

But you can’t. Make it make sense please.

They could make a killing by selling the tanks but I would think there’s a problem with the rest of the components being of poor quality to make it viable.

Vaping is an ugly business entirely. Are we starting to see the results of long-term effects?

It’s because now with economies of scale they are dirt cheap to mass produce in China. In Melbourne there are hundreds of them sitting on a main road bridge from where people dump them when waiting on traffic.

And at forty dollars a pop the mark up is in the thousands of percent, making them extraordinarily lucrative. It’s a gold rush and big tobacco is doing everything in their power to stay in control of global nicotine delivery products.

It’s so bad we now live in an ‘illegal tobacco war’ where criminals burn down businesses/shops by fire bombing them with molotovs if they don’t pay the protection tax.

That’s nothing, you can get disposable vapes with full colour screen, speakers and Bluetooth to connect to your phone.

I hadn’t realised just how wasteful these things were til I read they have chips inside; someone has collected them and made a web server with a bunch of what anointed to disposable IT tech

That’s shocking, those vapeshops look like such respectable businesses!

Your friend is a bit of a fool because you absolutely can buy reusable and refillable ones. Wtf is he doing?

I’m surprised they haven’t been banned yet. In my country, in my state at least (NC) they are being banned so we’re having to switch to refillable. I’d quit, but what with the state of the world right now, not happening.

    14. North_Account6419 on

they have stopped selling the ones you cant refill in the north recently but you still see people throwing them out to buy a new one instead of refilling it ffs

These things are Full of nicotine but very insidious as they don’t taste like it. Should be banned. I started smoking cigarettes to wean myself off the bloody vapes after massive withdrawals. I know, ridiculous. It worked in a bizarre way. And then I stopped the smokes. Way less withdrawals from regular smokes.

      Don’t recommend either.
