

Il muro a secco intorno alla nostra stufa in legno è così caldo che non puoi nemmeno toccarlo, il che logicamente è normale. Se ne hai uno a casa tua, come hai protetto il muro dietro di esso?
Ho letto che una soluzione potrebbe essere lo spazio di 2,5 cm+scheda cemento+piastrelle a prova di fuoco.

Old fashion bricks or/and stones.
There is special drywall for this, red drywall.
Stone strips could be an option too.
The installation manual normally indicates what distances to keep and what materials can be used at any given distance.

Put a metal plate with some insulation behind it. Or you know, make a mantel out of stone.
The heater I bought hardly gives off any heat at the back.
I didn’t put any special material on the walls.

Woah, I’ve never seen that, and I’m in this country for 6 yours now. Looks so cool. Figure the top reason for installing one is it being much cheaper than gas?
What are the main drawbacks? Can any house get one of these installed?
You can just use tiles that can withstand relatively high temperatures. That’s what everyone does in my country.

Because it looks like there’s an inox fitting very close to the stove… Usually you need >1m of straight tubing before you can switch the materials to inox. Excessive heat will degrade it (colors will appear).
Do you know the efficiency rating on your stove ? Because I can tell you from experience that in the last decades it has improved a lot. It looks nice for sure but if it’s an older one it will emit quite a lot of small particles.
If it’s an efficient one, then you still need to run it at the optimum level, you can’t restrict the air flow, which means it has to be the right size…
Edit: I also see a kitchen in the background, where’s your air intake ? Because if you use the hood in your stove it can mess up your combustion

Did they put promatec behind the drywall?
There is commercial aluminum foil with a layer of insulation. Often they are self adhesive. This will prevent heat losses through the wall and protect it.
