So, as usual, the Irish government is great at soundbites and not actually doing anything. The irony of this is that business is absolutely continuing as usual.
When people on her complain about Irish people protesting for Palestine with the usual “but we’re already majorly pro Palestine, what will this achieve”, the point is to force our government to actually do something beyond soundbites. It’s time to make some hard decisions and be on the right side of history.
Don’t get me wrong, I am glad that our government does speak up at an international level on this, but then tens of thousands of people have died, an entire population is on the brink of starvation and an actual fucking genocide is taking place right in front of our eyes, words are no longer enough.
