      For those who are looking at this thinking “Russia won =((” – the key feature of last 5 or 6 Moldovan elections was diaspora tipping the scale in the end, so the chances are high it will happen here too.

      If they count votes like we do in SVK, first results that appear are mostly from small villages (where it is fast to count votes and report to system).

      Top one is kremlin, next two are pro-EU. It’s to early to tell but the EU bloc is leading.

      Eli5, why are far left parties supporting Auth right regime (russia)? In Poland it’s usually the most far right that supports Putin.

      Guys, chill out. Neither Chișinău nor the Diaspora vote have been counted yet, which probably won’t happen until tomorrow or the day after. Both of these voter bases there are strongly Pro-European

      PAS getting absolute majority prob, given they are “even” with only rural votes counted.

      Sandu’s party will get a lot of their votes in the absolute end, due to massive diaspora voting in Moldova – they are a significant portion of the electorate and vote for the pro-EU parties way more than the Moldovans in Moldova.

      It’s simply scary how effective Russian propaganda seems to be. No one in their right mind would choose to be ruled by them (or one of their sock puppets)… but every time it’s a close call. Apparently as long as you’re willing to spend serious money, people can be influenced to the extent that they will vote against their own best interests.

      Any explanation in why the pro-russian party in Gagauzia has 86% of the votes? I know they are different from the rest of Moldova, but why this much votes?

      jfc does anyone not see the number of votes, when this was taken polls closed like 40 minutes ago, so this was only the results for super small villages. This sub can be so fucking dumb sometimes.

      50% of polling stations now Counted:

      PAS- 42.3%(EU Liberal)
      Patriotic Bloc- 29.93%(Russia Big Tent Leftism)
      Alternative- 7.93%( Dubious Self Proclaimed EU Social Democrats)
      PPDA- 6.81%( Romanian Unionists)
      Our Party-6.42%( Russia Conservative Leftism)
      Other Parties are all under 6%, which Moldova has a threshold of.
