Yup. My feelings as well. Just legalize it already, like the rest of the world. Criminalizing this is just dumb at this point
Cyprus has the stupidest drug laws.
Technically, medicinal cannabis production is legal in Cyprus. However if you look and the requirements for getting a license, you can see it’s the clueless orangutangs in parliament who wrote it.
Could have been a nice little industry, but no, we can’t have logical things.
Reminds me of this quote from the movie Little Miss Sunshine:

The guy is 81. Unless he was dealing I think it’s a bit harsh to imprison him. But then again laws are laws indiscriminately.

This is completely crazy, if they respect the law this man will spend the rest of his life in jail because he planted cannabis. Cyprus would earn so much money by legalizing it!

the government is waisting resources going after petty cannabis users like this old man. Not only that but they are forgoing the tax revenue they’ll generate from the legal sale of cannabis. It’s really stupid that it isn’t legal at this point. Just legalize it
