I don’t know if they’re still doing it but a few years ago I was living there and they were having an outdoors cinema in this square, and you could just go there, grab a chair and watch a movie in the middle of piazza maggiore.

It was just such a beautiful way to spend a summer night. The cinema itself was actually really good quality, the sound in particular was handled very well, unlike other outdoor cinemas I had been to.

It was super cozy to just be in such a beautiful square watching a movie. I have a very nice memory of it.

Yes, I was there this summer. It’s very beautiful and I have good memories, except for a pigeon that pooped my shirt. I swear it did it on purpose.

I find the absence of greenery in Italian cities so weird.

    4. Are they ever gonna finish the facade of the church to the right?

    5. I must admit I’ve never had the pleasure of visiting Bologna.

How does it compare to Siena for a visitor interested in food, wine, history and architecture?

      I very much enjoyed Siena.

    6. Bologna was the first European city I visited. It was September 2018. I was in this square one night seeing people singing, dancing, or just sitting there doing nothing. At that exact moment I realised people can have the luxury of spending their own time wherever they wanted. On that day I decided to move to Europe.

I still remember one local told me “it’s good to visit Bologna, but it’s awesome to live here.”
