“In Dilshad’s defence, it was heard that there had been a significant deterioration in Dilshad’s mental health, with defence barrister David Allan saying that Dilshad would sometimes perceive someone as being a threat, when they were “clearly not”.

Dilshad, of Rosalind Close, Colchester, was fined £216 for his behaviour. He has also been ordered to pay the victim £250 in compensation.”

The sentence is too lenient. I honestly couldn’t care less about Dilshad’s mental health – that’s no excuse for punching a child in the face. And if he “sometimes perceives someone as a threat, when they’re clearly not” maybe he’s not safe for the community.

Either lock him or put in a psychiatric ward.

Has anyone else experienced aggressive behaviour because of looking at someone?

Happened to me a few years ago when I was coming home after a night shift.

Must have been Saturday/Sunday morning 7am.

Just walked past some geezer, I didn’t realise he was on the phone, he said something so I turned around and looked at him thinking he was talking to me. He also turned around at the same time and saw me looking at him, got super shitty with me and wanted to knock me out.

    3. I’m so jealous of states like Singapore at times lol

They don’t have this hippy nonsense sentencing
