Just one read of that article will tell you how truly insane this country is. This guy is making serious threats against the nation. He’s been incarcerated 3 times this year alone, and the amount of legal and medical support the state is providing to him is truly mind-boggling.

To think his asylum application is pending, and if denied he has the right to appeal even after making credible terror threats?? You couldn’t make it up.

“During the contested hearing, the defence said they were objecting to their client’s period of detention being extended, while also informing the court that the man **suffers from psychosis** and requires medication”

I’m not entirely sure how that’s supposed to be an argument to let him out.

He should be deported immediately. I wonder will that happen though?

      >The asylum-seeker was previously deported from the UK after being convicted of several terror-related offences, including threats to carry out mass murder and use biological weapons.

How did he get to Ireland then? He must have got a boat back to the UK and then through NI?

      Well well well…

Who knew uncontrolled immigration is not that great?

      > He cannot be identified as he has an asylum claim pending. International protection applicants are entitled to anonymity under Irish law.

this is great, I’m delighted they brought in this blanket rule

Fuck that. Unless the government changes their tune, and urgently, we’re finished as a country

Is it any wonder that people protest about this sort of stuff!

Can’t believe I even have to read a headline like this in 2025.

      At least he’s in custody.
I’ve no doubt there’s many like him roaming the streets.

And I’m just thinking, what could be the reason, far right parties are gaining ground all over Europe?

Not long ago was it here you’d be blocked for raising safety concerns for unvetted from asylum seekers….

Only in Ireland could you face terror-related charges and still receive free accommodation, three meals a day, and an education. I’d prefer to see someone like him deported so my taxes aren’t wasted on an imported problem. The likes of him are the reason why genuine asylum seekers are getting vilified.

Watch him be released into the public in a few years’ time.
