I don’t like Karol Aquilina but this is a stupid judgement.

I’m not allowed to tell a politician to go fuck themselves? Whether it’s ‘vulgar’ or not should not even be a court decision. Libel is one thing – though libel laws are used to silence criticism. But note

And why should that result in a fine?

Categorically disagree. Respect is earned. Freedom of speech including the freedom to offend is much more important than some notion that everyone deserves respect. You know as well as I do plenty of people and ideas don’t deserve respect.

Politicians these days act like little vulnerable disney princess. Not only in Malta, in Germany it was a big thing amongst politicians in the last government. They even promoted a law service which looks for insulting remarks online just to profit from any compensation claims made in court. The search of these comments was done by an AI…
