      We desperately need to start actually charging these people with murder.

      Hitting a cyclist coming out of a blind turn because you were careless, that’s manslaughter.

      Attacking a pensioner begging for their lives? That’s not manslaughter, that’s murder.

      I know WHY our judicial system doesn’t charge them with higher levels of crimes, but that doesn’t mean it’s a good reason.

      I thought manslaughter’s meant to be for a genuine accident. Like if you lost control of your car on a icy road and hit someone. How is this not murder?

      People don’t seem to take these feral kids seriously. I see people saying things like “Why are you scared of a bunch of teenagers?” when people bring them up as if a group of 16 year olds can’t quite easy seriously injure or even kill a grown adult.

      I’ve said it before but we really need to stop treating teenagers like they’re harmless toddlers, they really really aren’t, in fact they’re basically in the prime of their physical health and can easily do serious harm to adults particularly when they’re usually attacking people in groups.

      The justice system is in part responsible for the death of this man. There was a pattern of escalating violence towards vulnerable people (a violent assault on a homeless woman being cited in the article), which was seemingly not addressed. Sadly these girls will be out of prison in their 20s.

      Feral animals. Soylent Green is the only solution for people like that. I would like to see the parents, what values have they instilled in these brats?

      But in all seriousness. A disgusting crime that should mean life behind bars for all perpetrators. Completely needless and sad for this gentleman to die like this.

      4 years for killing someone. Just like the other unproved attacked killing an old man a while back. If anyone should be locked away from society, it’s people like this.

      If this was in Scotland, the girls probably wouldn’t even be facing jail time.

      They should be named and have their pictures published.
      Their familes should be known and shamed.
      Also double the length of the sentences.
