    1. Sounds like customers have made their choice. The incessant calls for levies on everything are a patronising and lazy way to implement change.

    2. This is such a shame, it’s been amazing to not see coffee cup litter in the national park, I hate the idea of going back to the way it was before.

      It’s true that there needs to be buy-in from everyone — the project was working because all of the businesses were participating, so you could drop your cup off wherever you were closest to, and folks couldn’t just go to another cafe for a disposable option.

      I really can’t think of a downside to a levy on disposable cups, other than that people might be mildly annoyed for a bit. Have the govt given any reason for going back on the idea?
