Peoples Republic of Cork, lets go with that
I wonder if the cardboard box is made by Smurfit?
If you got it from a bricks and mortar shop then you are certainly supporting Irish jobs.
So many examples of this. Spotlight Dental, One Sonic are ones that comes to mind. Glorified dropshippers. The reality is that when it comes to electronics very little is made in Ireland (I would even question the “designed” part sometimes – picking a colorway and slapping a logo on it isn’t design)
Maybe they have a multilingual call center in Ireland
Chris: How do you support it, then?
Alan: Just generally support… it.
Chris: Generally turn up on a Saturday and wave from the touchlines?

“Produced in Ireland” means it is from elsewhere and only packaged in Ireland. Therefore, can also say “supporting Irish jobs”.
Look at products in Aldi or Lidl next time there, all “Produced in Ireland”.
Made in Ireland or or Bord Bia mark, etc. are for products actually from Ireland.
What’s the actual problem here?
