Some american general said during the second ww that he knew the germans lost when he saw them transporting the wounded with carriages and horses instead of vehicles. He knew that was the point of no return.

They ran out of WW2 vehicles, now they had to resort to WW1 ones.

Sad to see horses in war.
Alas, not many nations have a substantial horse population ready to go for active military use anymore. They won’t have enough to last long at scale.

I feel bad for the horses but I blame that on the Russians

Horses make sense in some terrain types where vehicles cannot operate, and I note in one picture we see a pack horse carrying supplies rather than a mounted cavalryman. Horses are quiet compared to most motor vehicles. But they obviously also have big disadvantages, one of them being the need for down-time to graze for several hours per day.

Cavalry was actually used in 2001 by US / Afghan (Northern Alliance) forces, in the early days of the 2001 war in Afghanistan:

The difference being that they had air support, were fighting completely disorganized fighters, and were successful as a result.
Next up, Russian chariot unit with crossbows annihilated.
With just one horse & one orc, seems drone operator could have separated them and then get the orc w/o hitting the noncombatant horse!
Armata was actually the name of a horse
