Nobody has been hired to do this. Existing officers already k a post have been “appointed” as specific points of contact for journalists. The police do it for many groups like wildlife, religious or business groups.
Journalism is a dying profession anyway. At best you get a reporter trying to work a click bait title fo generate advertising revenue clicks.

I wonder if different advice will be provided to journalists who like to dish out anti-police rhetoric to bring in revenue for certain media outlets…
